PHAETHON CoE will feature as the next research centre in an established educational initiative organised by the Alumni Office of the University of Cyprus, welcoming UCY alumni and their children to explore the world of green energy.

As part of the activity, participating families will visit PHAETHON’s research facilities and learn more about the Centre’s work in intelligent, efficient and sustainable energy systems. The programme will include a visit and guided tour of the PV Laboratory, offering participants an opportunity to see research infrastructure and technologies related to renewable energy production, storage and smart energy management.

The visit to the PV Laboratory will also feature a series of interactive activities and experiments exploring topics across PHAETHON’s research areas, including solar energy, hydrogen, energy systems and the sustainable cities of the future.

The activity will conclude with a tour of the Faculty of Engineering premises and infrastructure, where PHAETHON is hosted, giving participants an opportunity to see more of the Centre’s research environment and the facilities that support its work.

The activity will provide an opportunity to open PHAETHON’s research environment to the wider University community and introduce younger participants to the science and technologies contributing to the energy transition.
