The European Researchers’ Night (ERN) is a unique celebration of research and innovation that takes place every year across Europe, transforming cities into vibrant hubs of discovery, creativity, and inspiration. The event brings researchers, scientists, innovators, and the public together through interactive activities designed to make science accessible and engaging for people of all ages.
ERN 2026 is being organised by the Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) and will bring together universities, research centres, innovative enterprises, NGOs, and public sector organisations for an evening of exploration and discovery. Through hands-on experiments, demonstrations, interactive activities, competitions, and science communication initiatives, visitors will have the opportunity to experience how research and innovation shape our everyday lives.
Discover PHAETHON at ERN 2026
PHAETHON CoE will be participating in this year’s event, showcasing the Centre’s research activities and engaging visitors through interactive demonstrations designed to highlight the role of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) in addressing real-world challenges. Building on its strong outreach activities, the Centre aims to inspire visitors of all ages by demonstrating innovative solutions in areas such as renewable energy, photovoltaics, energy storage, and smart and sustainable cities.
The event provides an excellent opportunity to share PHAETHON’s work with the wider community, engage with students and the public, and demonstrate the impact of research and innovation beyond the laboratory.
