Advancing Transparency, Delivering Insights

The PHAETHON Centre of Excellence at the University of Cyprus, in collaboration with the Cyprus Transmission System Operator (TSO Cyprus), invites you to an event marking the first year of operation of Cyprus’s competitive electricity market.

The event will bring together perspectives from the market operator and the research community to examine the market’s first year of operation, discuss key findings on electricity prices, market activity and the role of renewable energy sources, and consider Cyprus’s experience in the wider European context.

A key highlight will be the launch of PHAETHON CoE’s public electricity-market data platform, providing free public access to market data and supporting greater transparency and informed analysis. The programme will also feature a live demonstration of the platform, presentations of PHAETHON’s electricity-market analysis and price-forecasting tools, and an open discussion with participants.

The event will offer an opportunity for policymakers, market participants, energy professionals, researchers and other interested stakeholders to exchange views on the development of Cyprus’s electricity market and the insights that data-driven analysis can offer.
